LAWRENCE, Kan. - Men's Tennis continued their winning streak after beating a very talented Ottawa.
The Braves were undefeated this season with two 7-0 wins. They were looking to keep that going, but a great team effort from the Jets stopped that from happening.
The match didn't start like Newman wanted. Despite Ali Mounir and Isfan Makhmudov winning their match 7-6(9-7), the Braves took the doubles point with two doubles wins.
Mounir opened the singles matches with a 7-6, 6-2 win. Making that his second win of the day.
Kurt Suarez Bruckner maintained his great form securing the second point for the Jets after a comfortable 6-2, 6-4 win.
Luca Penteado had a very strong performance winning his match 6-2, 6-3.
The deciding point came down to the last match. Enrico Belardo clinched the last point for the Jets with a phenomenal comeback. Belardo won the match in the third set super tie break (12-10) after losing the first set in a tie breaker.
The Jets come back to action this Wednesday hosting Pratt Community College at Genesis with the doubles matches scheduled to start at 8:00 AM.
