OWASSO, Okla. - Men's Golf opened their spring season at the Hillcat Classic this week, as two golfers finished in the top fifteen while another finished in the top thirty.
Grant Delsart was Newman's top finisher, placing twelfth overall. Delsart had two of Newman's best rounds in the tournament, scoring a 73 in the first round and lowering his score by one in the next round.
Chase Martel finished in a tie for fifteenth, finishing just a few strokes behind Delsart in overall score. Martel would score a 72 in the first round, which was Newman's best in the round. Martel had solid outings in the second and third rounds as well to finish in the top fifteen.
Noah Ahrens was another top placer for Newman, finishing in the top thirty. Ahrens had a great second round, improving on his first round score by six strokes.
Braxton Muldoon,
Quinn Toomey and
Brett Klusman also had decent showings, finishing not too far behind Newman's top finishers.
