MAYETTA, Kan. - Men's Golf had one of their best overall rounds in the 2023-24 season on Monday, while also being their lowest scoring round at 54 hole tournament since 2018. Their overall score of 912 was also the lowest in seven years, as the Jets finished in fifteenth place.
Chase Martel had a very consistent tournament, scoring a team low 71 in the first round. His next two rounds of scoring a 73 would propel him to another impressive finish, just missing out on the top twenty by several strokes. His first round score was not only a personal best this spring, but a team best as well.
Braxton Muldoon, the next best finisher for Newman, also had an impressive round, shooting a 75 in the second round on Monday.
Grant Delsart lowered his score in the second and third rounds, scoring a 75 in both.
It seemed that the third round was an all around great round for the Jets, as
Grant Delsart,
CJ Best and
Quinn Toomey all improved upon their first two rounds, with all three men scoring a 75 on the final day.
