Kearney, Neb. -Newman traveled to Nebraska to face the Lopers in another MIAA/GAC matchup. The last time the Jets played a conference match was back on March 12th when they took on the Ouachita Baptist Tigers in a very competitive match where the Jets were able to win the doubles point against ranked opposition.
The last time the Jets faced the Lopers was back in 2011 in a match played at a neutral site and with the Lopers winning the match 3-5.

The Jets claimed the doubles point to start the match with two outstanding performances from partners,
Luca Penteado and
Andrea Bramati at the number three, and
Ali Mounir and
Nicolo Lippolis at the number one. They both won 6-3 their matches and Mounir and Lippolis were able to beat the #15 doubles partners in the country with a fantastic tennis performance.
Kurt Bruckner lost a heart breaking match that could have gone either way. After claiming the first set 6-4 and losing the second one 7-6 in a tie break, Kurt played very good tennis taking his opponent to a seventh game in the third set.
Ali Mounir had one of his best performances of the season beating the #39 singles player in the country in straight sets 6-1, 6-2 giving his ranked opponent no chance to get in the match at any point. With this victory, Mounir claimed his seventh singles win of the season.
Luca Penteado won his second match of the day winning at the number four seed with an impressive 6-4, 6-3 final score. Penteado claimed this way his fourth singles win of the season.
