WICHITA- The Jets hosted No. 9 Central Missouri for a Sunday afternoon matchup. Newman fell short, 3-0.
How it Happened:
The ranked Jennies squad hopped out to an aggressive offensive start. In the 10th minute, Hazel Douglas-Trotman netted the first goal of the game for UCM to take the early 1-0 lead. Douglas-Trotman would net another Jennie's goal in the 17th minute to push their lead to 2-0. With eight minutes left in the half,
Taryn Migdal had a great look on goal to try to cut the deficit in half, but the UCM goalkeeper made a diving save to keep the 2-0 lead. The Jets defense was able to hold off the Jennies for the remainder of the half. UCM had the 2-0 lead heading into the break. In the first half, the Jennies outshot the Jets 13-2 (6-1).
-The Jennies would find their third goal of the game in the 81st minute with a goal by Patsy O'Brien. This goal would seal the win for the Jennies. Newman would fall to No. 9 ranked Central Missouri, 3-0.
