Last Time Out
On Friday, the Jets faced the Hornets in a high-scoring contest that ended in a 3-1 setback. Emma Kolbe tied the match with a penalty kick early in the second half, but Emporia State struck late, netting the game-winner in the 80th minute and adding an insurance goal just two minutes later.

Sunday's matchup against Washburn was a defensive battle, with neither side breaking through in the first half. The Ichabods scored the lone goal of the match in the 66th minute. The Jets nearly found the equalizer in the 88th minute when Morgan Todd had a chance on goal, but Washburn's defense held strong to seal the 1-0 result.

Scouting the Jets 
Delphine Sosu leads the Jets with her 5 goals and 11 points in seven matches played. She currently ranks second in the MIAA in shots, shots on goal, and goals. Morgan Todd has been the team's top distributor, sitting third in the conference with three assists. Emma Kolbe follows Sosu on the scoresheet with three goals of her own, while Trinity Perry, Abbey Gatesman, and Katherine Wilson have each added a goal this season. Carla Apodaca leads goalkeepers with 39 saves.


Behind Enemy Lines
Missouri Western enters the matchup with a 4-0-2 record and has begun drawing national recognition, receiving votes in the latest polls. The Griffons opened conference play with a 2-2 draw against Rogers State. Offensively, Aidyn Woodall and Kendall Knisley pace the team with two goals apiece, while Knisley also leads the MIAA with four assists. Missouri Western has showcased its depth early, with 11 different players scoring across their first six matches. In net, Morgan Byrd has collected 10 saves.

Northwest Missouri State carries a 4-2 mark into the weekend after opening league play with a 1-0 win over Northeastern State in Tahlequah. Margaret Madden has been the go-to scorer for the Bearcats, tallying three goals and six points. Ximena Arnau and Makenna West sit tied for second on the team with three points each. Six other Bearcats have added one goal apiece, showing balance across the roster. Goalkeeper Lily Ellis has been a steady anchor, making 30 saves through six contests.

The Series
The Griffons lead the series against the Jets with a 1-4-2 record. Last season, MoWest took the match up 3-0 in Wichita. 

The Jets have a 2-7-1 record against the Bearcats. The last match up went to the Bearcats in 2024 in a 2-0 game.
