ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - Women's Soccer traveled to Missouri to take on Missouri Western State, a squad receiving votes for the Top 25 in the national poll. Against the Griffons, the Jets fell short 3-0.
How it Happened:
- The Griffons scored in the 15th minute to put the first point on the board and take a 1-0 lead over the Jets. MoWest added another goal in the 19th minute to extend their lead to 2-0. In the 43rd minute, Camrin Peaslee found the back of the net to push the Griffons lead to 3-0. Heading into the break, the Jets trailed 3-0. In the half, the Griffons out shot the Jets 10-2.

Maylani Birckbichler had a look on goal in the 75th minute, but the Griffons goalkeeper made a play on the ball to keep the Jets off the board.
Emma Lintecum subbed in for the Jets in the second half and made three saves, keeping the Griffons scoreless after the break. The Griffons held off the Jets offense for the final 45 minutes of play. Newman fell, 3-0.
