WICHITA-
Timothy Kiprotich qualified for Cross Country Nationals after placing 15th at NCAA Central Regionals, finishing with a time of 31:07.20. The National Championships will be held November 22nd in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
Kiprotich's Season Recap:
To kick off his season, Kiprotich placed 25th at the Southern Stampede. He brought in a time of 25:06.80 (8K) to pace the Jets. Next, the Jets would compete at the Gans Creek Classic. At Gans Creek, Kiprotich placed 38th with a time of 26:01.2 to lead the Jets across the finish line. Kiprotich would earn his first individual title of the season at the U of O Invitational. Kiprotich recorded a time of 24:57.94 to claim first place, and finish as the first Jet. The Jets team would claim runner-up. At the MIAA Championships, Kiprotich led the Jets with a 25:31.93. He would place 22nd and help the Jets claim 11th place. Kiprotich would then earn 15th place at the DII Central Regional on November 8th. His time of 31:07.20 broke the Jets Cross Country record and helped him punch his ticket to DII Nationals.
Nationals Information:
A total of 34 teams were chosen to compete at each championship. Twenty-four teams earned automatic bids by finishing among the top three seven-person squads in each of the eight regions. The remaining 10 teams were selected at-large. Additionally, at least 24 individual runners advanced through automatic qualifiers and at-large selections. The advancing teams and individuals are listed below.
The championships are scheduled for Saturday, November 22, at the Wayne E. Dannehl National Cross Country Course, with the University of Wisconsin–Parkside serving as host. The women's race will start at 11:00 a.m. Eastern, followed by the men's race at 12:15 p.m. Eastern.

Championship History:
The DII Men's Cross Country National Championship dates back to 1974, skipping 2020 due to Covid-19, with the first ever Men's Championship trophy going to Missouri State. Adams State leads NCAA DII with 13 Men's Cross Country National Championships, while also adding nine runners-up. In the past four years. Colorado School of Mines has won two National Championships (2024, 2022). Wingate snagged the 2023 title and Grand Valley State won the 2021 title.
