WICHITA- Softball hosted Southern Nazarene for a midweek non-conference matchup. The Crimson Storm were able to take the two game series with a 5-1 win in game one and 9-5 in game two.
Game 1: NU 1, SNU 5
- The Jets were first to score in the bottom of the first inning. A single by
Hayley Bonython scored
Madi Canez who walked to start the inning. SNU was then able to tie the game up in the top of the second inning off of a single. Both the Jets and Crimson Storm were held scoreless until the top of the fourth inning where the storm added two more runs. This allowed the Storm to take the 2-1 lead. The Crimson Storm were able to continue to hold the Jets scoreless. The Storm were the next to score in the top of the 6th inning that took their lead out to 5-1. The Storm would hold through the 6th and 7th inning to take game one, 5-1.

Game 2: NU 5, SNU 9
- Southern Nazarene was first to score in game two off of a sacrifice fly that pushed just one run across in the top of the first inning. The Jets were quick to respond in the bottom half of the inning.
AJ Borja started off the inning with a single. Then, a single by Schreiner scored Borja to make it 1-1. In the top of the second inning, the Storm's offense got rolling. SNU was able to score four runs off of four hits to take the lead at 5-1. In the bottom half of the inning, the Jets were able to cut into that deficit.
Gianna Navarro walked to start the inning.
Malie Noda then doubled to push Navarro across the plate to make it 5-2. Later, a single by
Madi Canez scored Noda to make it 5-3. A single by Borja then scored Canez to cut the deficit to just one at 5-4. The Jets offense were able to hold the Storm scoreless for the next few innings. Newman was the next to score in the bottom of the 6th inning after an error by the Crimson Storm allowed the Jets to tie it at 5-5. After this score by the Jets, neither team were able to score in the seventh inning which pushed the game into extra innings. The Storm were able to connect on the offensive end in the top of the eighth to take the lead at 9-5. The Jets were unable to score in the bottom half of the inning, allowing the Storm to take game two at 9-5.

- Borja went 3-4 from the plate, scoring one.
- Five different Jets tallied one RBI a piece.
The Jets will stay home this weekend to host NSU on Friday and RSU on Saturday.
