INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The GLVC announced its Women's Bowling postseason individual and team awards. Four Jets earned postseason honors. Alexis Shea earned First Team All-GLVC. Ashley Soto and Kensely Morris earned All-GLVC Honorable Mention. Tallie Scott earned was named as a Sportsmanship Award honoree.
Alexis Shea earned first team All-GLVC with a traditional average of 19.70 and a baker average of 18.90. Shea recorded a 45.3% strike percentage, 83.3 fill percentage, 82.2 single-pin spare percentage, and a 66 multi-pin spare percentage as the anchor bowler.
Kensley Morris and Ashley Soto earned All-GLVC Honorable Mention. Morris recorded a 19.70 traditional average and a 18.89 baker average. Morris recorded a 45.7 strike percentage, 80.4 fill percentage, 54.6 single-pin spare percentage, and a 65% multi-pin spare percentage. Soto recorded a 19.80 traditional average with an 18.60 baker average. Soto recorded 45.5 strike percentage, 80.7 fill percentage, 86.3 single-pin spare percentage, and a 60.8 multi-pin spare percentage.
In efforts to support and promote good sportsmanship demonstrated throughout the GLVC, the league awards schools and student-athletes who exemplify and demonstrate fairness ,graciousness, and respect toward teammates, opposing teams, and coaches before, during, and after competition. The individuals who are awarded this honor must be in good academic standing and have demonstrated good citizenship outside of the sports-competition setting. The honorees from full-time GLVC member institutions are now eligible to become one of their school's two Spalding Sportsmanship Award winners, which will be announced at the end of the academic year. Tallie Scott was recognized as a James R. Spalding Sportsmanship Award Honoree this season.
