LAWTON, Okla.- Men's and Women's Tennis traveled to Oklahoma to face Cameron in a non-conference match up. Men's Tennis fell 7-0. Women's Tennis dropped their match 6-1.
Men's Tennis:
The Aggies took the doubles point to start off the day, sweeping the three matches. The Jets were unable to take a set from the Aggies. Ali Mounir played the one spot for the Jets, falling 6-3 and 6-2. Pavlo Vystoin fought hard but fell 6-3 and 6-3. Nicolo Lippolis battled his first set but dropped it 6-4 and went on to drop his second at 6-2. Enrico Belardo battled in his second set after dropping the first, but was unable to come away with a point. The Jets fell 7-0.
Women's Tennis:
The Aggies took the doubles point to start the match. Nicole Bono and Ana Zeikidze were able to take their doubles match at 7(8)-6(6), but it was not enough to take the doubles point. Dana Issabayeva battled in her first set but fell 7-5. Then her opponent took the next set at 6-0. Luciana Flores Urey was able to secure the Jets first point of the day, taking her first set at 6-4 and her second set at 6-3. This was the only match point the Jets were able to score. The Jets fell 6-1.
Men's and Women's Tennis heads to Wichita Falls, Texas to face two ranked opponents. The Jets will face Midwestern State on Saturday and face UT Tyler on Sunday.
