Women’s Golf participates in the MIAA Championship

Kearney, NE. - Women's Golf traveled to Kearney, Nebraska to participate in the MIAA Championship. The team found itself in 10th place after day one and eventually fell to 11th where they would finish during rounds two and three.
 
Bethany Griffiths was the star of day one for the Jets, shooting a 76 and sitting in fourth place. Mikaela Stenborg and Isabella Callaba both turned in 82s to help lead the Jets to a team score of 325.  The highlights of Griffiths' first round were her birdies on the second and 12th hole. Mikaela Stenborg and Brooklyn Davis recorded the Jets' other two birdies, both coming on the sixth hole. The Jets' finished day one in 10th place.
 
Day two saw the Jets slip down the scoreboard into 11th place. Griffiths' 87 was the lowest of the day, followed up by Aiden Coffelt and Davis both shooting an 88. Daniela Alvarez recorded the Jets' lone birdie on the first hole. She would go on to shoot an 89. As a team the Jets would turn in a 354, bringing their score to 679 and sitting them in 11th place.
 
The final day of the tournament saw Callaba turn in her lowest round of the weekend, shooting a 81 that was driven by her birdie on hole two. Alvarez recorded a birdie on hole 17 while turning in an 87. Davis tallied two birdies during her round, helping her to record an 87 which was a weekend best. The Jets turned in a 342, keeping them locked in at 12th place for the tournament.
 
Brooklyn Davis participated independently and shot a 268.
