TOPEKA, Kan.- The Jets traveled up the Turnpike to face Washburn in a Monday doubleheader. Against the Ichabods, the Jets dropped both games. 
 
Game One: NU 0, WU 8
-The Jets and Ichabods were both held scoreless in the top of the first inning. In the bottom of the second inning, the Ichabods were first to put some runs on the board after a three run home run. This put the Ichabods up 3-0 heading to the third inning. In the bottom of the third inning, the Ichabods added to their lead with their second three run home run of the game to make it 6-0. By the fourth inning, the Ichabods had added eight runs to make it an 8-0. The Jets were unable to score in the top of the fifth inning, which allowed the Ichabods to take game one, 8-0 through five innings. 
 
Player Notes:
- AJ Borja went 1-2 with a double.
- Lauren McNaught and Reghann Fairbairn both went 1-2 from the plate. 
 
Game Two: NU 0, WU 7
-The Jets and Ichabods were both held scoreless in the first inning. A home run by the Ichabods in the bottom of the second was the game's first run to make it 1-0, WU. Later in the inning, a double by the Ichabods pushed their second run across the plate. In the top of the third inning, the Jets had the bases loaded with two outs but were unable to put their first run up on the board. In the bottom of the third, a solo home run by the Ichabods put Washburn up 3-0. Another run was scored by the Ichabods in the bottom of the fourth to make it a 4 run deficit for the Jets. With two outs in the bottom of the fifth inning, Washburn was able to add three more runs off of three hits and one error by the Jets to make it 7-0. Maddie Romo was able to record her first strikeout of the game to help the Jets escape the inning. The Jets were unable to get the offensive end rolling. The Ichabods would take game two, 7-0.

- Gianna Navarro went 2-3 at the plate. 
 
The Jets return home this weekend to host Fort Hays State on Friday and Nebraska Kearney on Saturday.
