Men’s Golf wraps up play in Firekeeper Open

Mayetta, Kan. - Men's golf traveled to Mayetta, Kansas to participate in the Firekeeper Open.  The team shot a 929, slotting them in 18th place for the tournament.

In the first round of day one, the Jets shot a 620 over 36 holes. Charlie Townsend and Braxton Muldoon led the way for the Jets in round one with Townsend turning in a 77 and Muldoon a 79.  Grant Delsart got the second round of the day started with two birdies in his first three holes. Muldoon birdied six of the holes in his second round en route to turning in a 71, the best round of the tournament for the Jets. 

Day two saw the Jets play the last 18 holes of the tournament. Townsend turned in a 76 to put him in 74th place for the Tournament.  Delsart turned in consecutive rounds of 77 to help him bounce back from the first round. Tomas Ageirsson and Chase Martel both turned in 78s to close out their tournament. The team turned in a 309 to end the weekend.

The Jets set their sights on the MIAA Championship, which will be played April 21st-23rd in Jefferson City, Missouri.
