WARRENSBURG, Mo.– The Men's Golf team opened play at the Mule this week at Mules National Golf Club. After 36 holes on day one, the Jets sat in 15th place with a team score of 591. The Jets wrapped up play at the Mule Invitational on Tuesday, finishing 15th as a team with a score of 887.

Noah Ahrens and Alphonse Hermansson both shot 72 in the opening round before following it up with 74s in round two, finishing the day at 146 apiece. Grant Delsart bounced back with the low round of the day for Newman, firing a 69 in the afternoon to total 148. Tomas Asgeirsson posted rounds of 73 and 77 for a 150. CJ Best closed out scoring for the Jets with rounds of 80 and 82, finishing at 162.

After day one, Hermansson and Ahrens were tied for 43rd individually, Delsart was tied for 50th, Asgeirsson sat tied for 64th, and Best was tied for 102nd heading into the final round.

Grant Delsart paced Newman in the final round with a 71 to finish at 219 and tie for 30th. Tomas Asgeirsson also fired a 71, closing at 221 to place tied for 45th. Alphonse Hermansson added a 73 to finish at 219, joining Delsart in a tie for 30th. CJ Best carded an 81 to end at 243, while Noah Ahrens rounded out the lineup with an 85, finishing at 231 for the tournament.
