Women’s Soccer hosts SNU for senior night

WICHITA - The Jets hosted Southern Nazarene for Senior Night. Newman honored 13 seniors including: Carla Apodaca, Morgan Todd, Kaylyn Truong, Cameron Busby, Ariana Sweitzer, Delphine Sosu, Abigail Welch, Logan Riley, Yessica Dozal, Brooke DeAngelis, Harlie Wilson, Makayla Deloney, and Maylani Birckbichler. 

How it Happened: 
The first half was evenly contested between the two teams. The Storm shot 10 compared to the Jets four. Carla Apodaca aided the Jets to keep a clean sheet in the first half with two saves. The Jets had one shot on goal: with Southern Nazarene having two. The contest would hold at 0-0 heading into the halftime break. 

Out of the halftime break, Southern Nazarene broke the tie in the 50th minute with a goal by Bella Morgas. This goal would put the Jets in a 1-0 deficit. The Storm added another goal in the 57th minute to take the 2-0 lead. A penalty kick awarded to SNU with just over a minute left was converted. This goal put the game away. The Jets fell short 3-0.
