WICHITA - Newman men's soccer hosted Oklahoma Christian on Saturday for its second non-conference match up of the season. The Jets entered the contest looking to bounce back after a narrow defeat to West Texas A&M earlier in the week.

How It Happened:
The Jets wasted no time getting on the board, as Gabriel Dias Juliani opened the scoring in the 9th minute off an assist from Daiki Okada. Less than a minute later, Dias Juliani struck again, this time with a high right-footed finish assisted by Gustavo Dias Juliani, giving the Jets a 2-0 advantage at the half.Oklahoma Christian responded in the 57th minute to cut the deficit to 2-1, but Newman quickly answered. Just two minutes later, Dias Juliani completed his hat trick with a header, restoring the two-goal lead. The Eagles pulled back within one in the 67th minute, but Newman's defense held firm the rest of the way. Goalkeeper Santiago Rea Montano anchored the back line with nine saves, securing a 3-2 victory for the Jets.
