MIAA releases M/W Golf Preseason Coaches Polls

Men’s Golf voted 8th, Women’s Golf voted 11th

KANSAS CITY, Mo.- The MIAA announced its 2025 men's and women's golf preseason coaches polls. Central Oklahoma snagged the top spot on the men's side with nine first place votes and 99 points. Central Missouri received two first place votes for second place and 90 points. On the women's side, Central Missouri brought in the top spot with 11 first place votes and 143 points. UAFS took the second spot with 120 points. Men's Golf earned eighth with 38 points, while the women earned 11th with 29 points.

Head Coach Lon Flippo enters into his third season leading both the Jets golf programs. The men's team returns a core group including Grant Delsart, CJ Best, Tomas Asgeirsson, Noah Ahrens, and Charlie Townsend. Last season, Townsend earned All-MIAA for the Jets as he recorded three top 15 finishes that included a third place finish. Delsart turned in three top 10 finishes for the Jets last season including a first place finish at the Newman Fall Invite. On the women's side, the Jets return three players to the lineup: Isabella Callaba, Aiden Coffelt, and Daniela Alvarez. Last season, Coffelt recorded two top-25 finishes, highlighted by an 18th-place showing at the Hillcat Classic. Callaba posted her best performance with a sixth-place finish at the Evangel Women's Fall Invitational.

Men's Golf opens their 2025 season today and tomorrow at The Mule in Warrensburg, Missouri. The Jets will then compete at the NSU Men's Golf Classic on September 15-16 before hosting the Newman Fall Invite at Sand Creek Station on September 29-30. To close out the fall schedule, the Jets will travel to the Skip Waggoner Invitational, the MSSU Fall Invitational, and finish at the Tulsa Cup on October 27-28. Women's Golf opens the 2025 season today and tomorrow at the NSU Women's Classic. The Jets will return home September 29-30 to host the Newman Fall Invite before hitting the road for three tournaments to close out the fall: the Grace Shin Invitational, the Midwest Classic, and the Tulsa Cup on October 27-28.
