PITTSBURG, Kan. - The Jets hit the road to face the No. 11 ranked Gorillas of Pittsburg State. The Jets would fall short, 95-66.
How it Happened:
- The Jets and Gorillas played even for the first ten minutes of play. At the end of the first quarter, the Jets held the 17-16 lead.
Jaeden McMillin led the Jets offense in the opening quarter, scoring seven of the Jets 17 points.
- The Gorillas put together a 12-0 to start the second quarter of play, taking the lead at 28-17. The Jets first points of the second half came from
Monica Redondo with two free throws at the six minute mark to make the score 28-19. Later, a three-pointer from
Delainey Wylie brought the score within seven points at 29-22. The Gorillas responded with a 6-0 run to take their lead to 35-22 with two minutes remaining in the half. Newman would then respond with a 5-0 run with free throws by McMillin and a three-pointer from
Alexis Martin to close the gap to 35-27 with under two to play. To end the half, the Gorillas outscored the Jets 6-2 allowing PSU to hold the lead at the break 42-29. McMillin led the Jets with nine points in the half.
- Three minutes into the third quarter, the Gorillas put on a 7-0 run that would push PSU to a 58-35 lead halfway through the third quarter. A basket by Wylie would stop this short surge by PSU. Wylie would later score her tenth point of the game to make the score 61-40 with just over two minutes to play in the third quarter. With under two minutes to play, Martin would hit two three-pointers in a row for the Jets making it a 65-46 contest. The third quarter would end with the Gorillas holding the 68-46 lead.
- In the fourth quarter McMillin scored her 22nd point with under four to play. Later, Martin added her 16th point of the night with three minutes remaining. The Gorillas would close out the fourth quarter with the 95-66 win.

- Wylie scored ten points with seven boards.
