Jet Baseball falls to a ranked Pitt State

PITTSBURG, KS- The Jets fell to Pitt State in seven innings, 20-2 
 
How it Happened:  
- The Gorillas put up two runs in the bottom of the first off a single and a double. Another single in the bottom of the second led to the Gorillas' third run of the game. A solo home run and a sac fly in the bottom of the third would take Pitt State's lead to 5-0. 

 
- The Jets brought in their first run of the game in the top of the fourth. Anthony Cannavino would score off a Zac Becker single after he earned a walk. The Gorillas would answer the Jets with a run of their own from a double and a single. PSU would hit two more home runs to take their lead to 9-1. 

 
- In the bottom of the sixth, the Gorillas would score 11 runs off seven hits, the score would go to 20-1 PSU. Kayden Dawson would homer in the top of the seventh to give the Jets another run. 
 
Player Notes: 
- Dawson homered and had an RBI. 
- Becker had an RBI. 
- Cannavino scored a run. 
 
The Jets are back in action on Friday to start an away conference series against Central Missouri.
