WICHITA-The Jets hosted their first home game this season facing Rockhurst. Rockhurst would take game one, 9-0 and game two, 7-0.
Game one vs Rockhurst: NU 0, RU 9
-The Hawks kicked off the first inning with nine runs, ten hits, and one error on the Jets defense. The Hawks held a 9-0 lead against the Jets the rest of the contest.
Lani Dryden and
Aspen Peterson tallied two hits for the Jets in the first and third innings.
Laci Dryden and Aspen Petterson both tallied a stolen base for the Jets. Rockhurst would take game one, 9-0.
Game two: NU 0, RU 7
-Rockhurst got the action started in the first inning, recording one run. The Hawks were able to extend their lead in the third inning with four runs and five hits making the score 6-0 after three innings. The Hawks were able to score another run from a double to center field in the fourth inning.
Hannah Nordby tallied a hit for the Jets. The Hawks would secure game two with a score of 7-0.

Newman Softball will travel to Kansas City, MO for the Midwest College Classic. Day one will be on February 27th where they will face Bemidji State at 10 AM and Minnesota Duluth at 12:30 PM.Â
