DALLAS, Texas - The Newman University Women's bowling team traveled to Dallas, Texas to compete at Sectionals for a bid to the 2026 ITC National Championship to be held in Green Bay, Wisconsin on April 13th-18th.
The sectional qualifier was held in Dallas, where 16 of the best teams would compete to find out which 4 teams would advance to the Nationals finals. The Jets would get off to a great start on Day one averaging 192.3 for the first 16 games. The Jets would follow that up with a even better score in round 2 averaging 199.1 to put them in 2nd place heading in to Day two.
The Jets would struggle a little bit at the start of day two, but the resilient Jets would find their rhythm to finish the 64 games averaging 192.3 finishing in 3rd place and earn a trip to the National championship in Green Bay, Wisconsin. This is the second trip to ITC Nationals in a row and the 16th appearance in program history.
In the ISC championship qualifying that was held on Friday the 13th, Junior
Kaylin Wahlmeier had a tremendous day finishing in 5th place the field of 137 competitors to qualify for the national finals also to be held April 13-18. Wahlmeier averaged 215.1for the 6 games.
