GREENWOOD, Ind.- The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Basketball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. Five members of the Newman Basketball teams were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes men's and women's basketball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. The CSC Academic All-District® teams include the student-athletes listed on the following pages. Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot.
Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists are denoted with an asterisk and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced December 16, 2025. The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2025-26 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.

Men's Basketball All-District:
Sam Somerhalder appeared in 28 contests, starting 27 games with a total of 761 minutes. Somerhalder averaged 27.2 minutes per game, leading the Jets in this category. Somerhalder also led the Jets in steals with 31, assists with 94, second in rebounds with 5.3 per game, and third in total points scored with 254. Somerhalder finished 24th in the MIAA in rebounding, tenth in field goal percentage, 11th in assists, and eighth in assist/turnover ratio. Somerhalder broke multiple records this season, breaking the records for career rebounds, career assists, career steals, and career field goals made. Somerhaler also broke into the top ten in the Jets record books for multiple categories.
Thatcher McClure appeared in all 28 contests, starting 18 with a total of 640 minutes for the Jets. McClure averaged 22.9 points per game. McClure posted 10.2 points per game with a total of 285 points scored. He tallied 36 assists, 125 total rebounds with 4.5 per game.
Women's Basketball All-District:
Paige Craft appeared in 26 games, starting 26 with a total of 741 minutes. Craft led the Jets in minutes played, averaging 28.5 minutes per game. Craft scored 205 points, averaging 7.9 per game. Craft led the team in assists, dishing out 64 on the year. Craft finished 14th in the MIAA with assists, with 2.5 per game.
Monica Redondo appeared in all 28 of the Jets games this year, starting all 28. Redondo tallied a total of 134 points this season, 4.8 points per game. She grabbed 30 steals, blocked eight shots, and totaled 53 assists. Redondo finished 24th in the MIAA in total assists. Redondo was second in total minutes for the Jets this season, recording 710, 25.4 minutes per game.
Delainey Wylie appeared in all 28 games for the Jets this season, with eight starts totaling 505 minutes. Wylie led the Jets in blocks with 45 total. She scored 119 points this season, averaging 4.3 per game. Wylie averaged 5.1 rebounds per game with 31 offensive rebounds and 113 defensive. Wylie finished fourth overall in the MIAA in blocked shots (46, 1.6 per game).
