ARKADELPHIA, Ark. — Jets came up short 1-0 to Ouachita on Thursday at Kluck Field. Newman controlled much of the attacking play, outshooting the Tigers 13-9 and matching them with four shots on goal, but could not find the equalizer.
The Tigers scored early on seven minutes in the match. The Jets generated several scoring opportunities throughout both halves, with attempts from Yohsuke Ono, Gabriel Sasso, Tomas Melon, Higor Werneck, Skylur Staley, Vincent Edgell and others. Newman continued to apply pressure late in the match, but Ouachita's defense and goalkeeper preserved the shutout in the 1-0 result.
