Started in 18 games...Finished the season with 27 shots, 12 shots on goal, one goal, and two assists...Scored goal in 3-2 win against Texas-Permian Basin...Received 2011 CoSIDA Academic All-District 6 team accolades and 2011 Heartland Conference Second team as a forward.

As a Sophomore (2010):
Played in all 17 matches while making 11 starts...Finished the season with one assist, 14 shots and seven shots on goal...Named to the Heartland Conference Presidents' Honor Roll.

As a Freshman (2009):
Played in all 18 matches (16 starts)…Scored his first collegiate goal on Sept. 13, 2009 against Rockhurst…Finished the 2009 season with 10 shots on goals, and was second on the team with 23 shots.

Before Newman:
Played high school soccer at Northwest HS in Wichita, Kan. ...2008 Second Team All-City League and Second Team All-District selection as a senior…Led Northwest in assists in 2007, and led the squad in goals in 2008…Helped guide the Grizzlies to a City League title in 2005.
