Joe Cannady is entering his first year as a graduate assistant coach with the Newman baseball program in 2017-18.

Cannady assists with all facets of the Jets program, including team and individual training, game preparation and facility maintenance.

A five-year member of the Newman baseball team, Cannady appeared in 62 games as a pitcher, making double-digit appearances in each of the past four seasons and totaling 122 1/3 innings.

Cannady is a native of Augusta, Kansas.
