GETTING TO KNOW JAMES...

Before Newman:
Played college baseball at Barton County CC where as a sophomore he made 23 appearances with 21.1 innings pitched, 21 strikeouts, 1 save and had a 2.95 E.R.A. As a freshman at Barton he made 17 appearances with 16.2 innings pitched, 17 strikeouts with a 2.70 E.R.A.. Played high school baseball for Coach Chris Weidert at Andover  High School in Andover Kan.

Born Nov. 4, 1990 in Wichita, Kan.…Full name is James William Hilts…Son of Rick and Lori Hilts…Majoring in Secondary Education.
