Rodrigo Tresierra is entering his second year as a graduate assistant coach with the Newman men’s soccer program in 2016-17.

Tresierra assists with all facets of the Jets program, including team and individual training and game preparation.

In Tresierra’s first year, Newman finished off its best two-year run since making the move to NCAA Division II, finishing 10-7-2 and 5-3 in the Heartland Conference, good enough for a second straight trip to the league tournament.

Tresierra came to Newman after finishing out his college career and receiving his bachelor’s degree from Friends University. The Lima, Peru native’s first experience coaching was leading a U14 club in Austria.
