Tim Alaniz is in his second season as an assistant coach for the Newman volleyball program.
 
Alaniz comes to Newman from Christ Academy in Wichita Falls where he was an assistant coach for the 2012 season. From 2008-10, Alaniz was a junior high coach at Notre Dame Catholic School in Wichita Falls. He also coached club volleyball from 2008-11 with TVC, serving as a head coach from 2009-11 for various teams.
 
A native of Vernon, Texas, Alaniz graduated from Midwestern State in 2013 with an bachelor’s degree in radiology.
