Box Score AUSTIN, Texas - St. Edward's extended Newman's losing streak to five games Saturday afternoon, beating the women's soccer team 5-0 in Austin.
Mei-Mei Senthavy took the Jets only shot of the contest in the fourth minute.
- SEU scored a quick second-minute goal off a breakaway run from midfield when Rachel Murray received a pass from Ashley Villm and beat Newman goalkeeper

- The Hilltoppers added their second goal in the 17th minute when Jordan Ynostrosa took a shot off a failed Newman clear attempt, giving SEU a 2-0 lead.
- SEU's Megan Anderson went on to add two unassisted goals to the first half total. Anderson scored off the post from 20 yards out in the 31st minute and struck again in the 42nd minute, beating a Newman defender to give the Hilltoppers a 4-0 halftime lead.
- The Hilltoppers' fifth goal came from close range when Riana Soobadoo took a pass from Anderson and beat the Jets' keeper from six yards out.

Christina Farid made 12 saves in the contest but fell to 3-7-3 on the season with the loss.

With the loss the Jets fall to 3-7-3 on the season and 1-5-1 in Heartland Conference play. They will be back in action against conference rival St. Mary's Friday at 7 p.m. at Wilkins Field.
