Bolton Finishes in Fifth; Men’s Golf Places 13th

AMARILLO, Texas – James Bolton finished with a three-round total of 8-under-par 208 to finish in fifth place at the Ryan Palmer Foundation Invitational on Sept 16-17, hosted by West Texas A&M. The Newman men's golf team placed 13th with a team score of 875.
 
Bolton, who finished in the top five for the second straight event, shot rounds of 71, 67 and 70. He finished only two shots off the lead in a field of 90 players.
 
Charles Mommaerts was second for the Jets and 25th overall. He carded rounds of 69, 73 and 73 to finish 1-under-par. Logan Woodbridge totaled a 227 with rounds of 79, 73 and 75. Thomas Allen shot rounds of 77, 74 and 77 for a total of 228, and James Hornsby went 76, 78 and 77 in his three rounds. Ben Cotton also competed with a total score of 229 after shooting rounds of 79, 78 and 72.
 
The Jets are back in action at the WNMU Fall Intercollegiate on Sept. 31-Oct. 1 in Phoenix, Ariz.
