GARDEN CITY, Kan. – The Newman men's golf team started its spring schedule with a fifth place finish with a team score of 591 at the Central Regional Crossover at Buffalo Dunes. In the 16 team field, Colorado Mines finished in first (573) with CSU-Pueblo in second (588) and Texas A&M International in third (589).
James Bolton and
Logan Woodbridge led NU as the pair tied for 12th with total scores of 146. Bolton turned in two rounds of 73, and Woodbridge shot 74 and 72 in his two rounds.
Ben Cotton placed 29th overall and third for the Jets with a score of 149. He carded rounds of 73 and 76.
Charles Mommaerts was one shot behind with a score of 150. He shot a 76 in his first round and a 74 in the second round.
James Hornsby totaled a score of 160 with rounds of 78 and 82.
Thomas Allen shot a 74 in his second round after carding an 81 in his first round for a score of 155.
The Jets are back on the course on March 17 at the Midwestern State Invitational at the Wichita Falls Country Club in Wichita Falls, Texas.
