After a strikeout to start the seventh, WSC got a double to put a runner in scoring position. A single down the right field line put runners at the corners then another single brought home one run for a 3-1 score. With runners at first and second, a HBP loaded the bases. Another strikeout put NU one out from the win, but the Wildcats tied the score at 3-3 with a single through the left side. The go-ahead run scored on a wild pitch and another single made it 5-3. For the inning, Wayne State totaled five runs on five hits.
