SAN ANTONIO —The Newman Men's soccer team dropped a tough one at St. Mary's Thursday 3-1. Newman was looking to make a push on the road and this game would have jump started that as the team was trying to make one more push for the playoffs especially on the road.
KEY SEQUENCE
The Jets (4-7-4, 2-6-3 Heartland) were looking good in the first half keeping the game scoreless only allowing four corner kicks and two shots. In the second half the Rattler's were able to get up more shots and in the 61st minute they were able to score their second goal which lead to the Rattler's winning 3-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-In the 57 minute Nenad Markovic took a free kick from 25 yards out and was able to score when the ball hit off the crossbar and into the net.
-The 61st minute came Pato Bottello Fax received a pass from Nenad Markovic taking the ball to the edge of the box and scoring to the far right.
-Newman was able to get on the board in the 69th minute when Tommy Fiszel took the ball to the top of the box and score to the right of the post.
-The 81st minute came and the Rattler's got on the board again by an own goal by Newman and that would seal a 3-1 victory for the Rattler's
NOTES
-Chase Bowman's scoreless streak of not allowing a goal ends at 486 minutes of action.
-The Jets were looking to get back into some good positioning in the final part of the season.
-The Jets will look to bounce back and play a better game against another quality opponent.
