Samuel Hersh as the starting pitcher. The Jets broke through first in the bottom of the second, when Hamerle singled to left field to score
Aaron Mack and Jahnke.
Neither team would score in the third inning but Upper Iowa evened the score up in the top of the fourth with two runs. That did not deter the Jets batters in the bottom of the fourth by scoring eight runs to go up 10-2 after four complete innings.

Koby Nguyen, Canfield, Griffin, Jahnke, Hamerle and Williams each had one RBI for the big Jet inning. Jahnke would have another RBI in the bottom of the fifth to extend the Newman lead out to 11-2.

Jacob Gibbs came into the game in the top of the seventh inning and held the Peacocks scoreless, which completed the 13-2 run-rule for Newman in Game 2.
