HOW IT HAPPENED

-The Jets didn't allow another shot for over 23 minutes, but they could only manage one of their own against a packed-in defense. Rosa Urista-Chico's relentless attack up top was able to create Newman's first goal of the season, as she pounced on a miscue by the defense and chipped a shot over the keeper to halve the deficit in the 82nd.

-Urista-Chico put up one more shot as the Jets looked to tie it late, but it was blocked, and Newman couldn't get another opportunity over the final three minutes.
