WICHITA, Kan. — The Newman men's soccer team lost a tough game Saturday losing 1-0 to Lubbock Christian, the Jets struggled on both sides of the ball allowing one goal but struggling to get anything going offensively.

The Jets struggled (2-3-1, 0-2-0 Heartland) and it did not get easier when Kieran Laking received a red card eliminating him from the game. The Chaparrals (2-4-0, 1-1-0 Heartland) gained momentum leading to a score.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Jets struggled and continued to struggle when Kieran Laking received a red card suspending him from the rest of the game, there was a switch in momentum and the Chaparrals took advantage.
-In the 28th Minute Conner Dean of the Chaparrals took advantage of some open defense by the jets and was able to score on a pass for the unassisted goal.
NOTES
-The Jets have struggled in the last two games allowing four goals total in the two games.
-The Jets were lacking only able to play with 10 men in the second half.
-The red card is Laking's first of the season.
