OKLAHOMA CITY — The Newman men's soccer team lost a tough game in Oklahoma City Thursday losing 1-0 to Oklahoma Christian. The Jets fought after giving up a goal in the 18th minute trying their best to get on their side of the field to get shots up and have an opportunity to score. 
KEY SEQUENCE
The Jets (2-4-1, 0-3-0 Heartland) took every opportunity that they were given to get across the field and have chances to score, the defense struggled early giving up a goal to the Eagles (3-3-0, 1-2-0 Heartland) in the 18th minute. Even though it was the only goal of the game it made it difficult for the Jets the rest of the game.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Eagles were able to get their opportunities and in the 18th minute Sebastian Capkovic was able to get a pass from Landon Pope for the goal, putting the Eagles up 1-0 in the first period and the rest of the game.  
NOTES
-The Jets defense has been good the past couple of games only giving up two goals total.
-The Jets took more shots total than the Eagles, they have been able to move the ball up and down the field giving themselves chances.

The Jets travel to Wichita Falls, Texas Saturday to take on No. 8 Midwestern State.
