WICHITA, Kan. — The Newman women's soccer team keeps their win streak alive as they defeated St. Mary's on Saturday 3-0. The Jets never slowed down after scoring two in the first half and another one in the second as well as playing really good defense.
KEY SEQUENCE
-The Jets (5-2-0, 2-1-0 Heartland) have been playing really well in their last four games continuing their scoring streak against the Rattlers (3-3-0, 1-2-0 Heartland).
-The Jets just were clicking on all cylinders able to score and play defense and keep the momentum on their side.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Jets were clicking in the first and second half in the 43th Erin Mink took the ball down the field getting into the goal box for the score and putting the Jets ahead 1-0.
-In the 46th Grace Linton got in on the action and was able to score on an unassisted goal giving the team a 2-0 lead and the Jets never looked back.
-The 75th minute was the sight of the third goal netted by Karen Tamayo assisted by Emma Stewart on a nice cross pass.
NOTES
-The Jets have won four consecutive games only allowing one goal in those games.
-The Grace Linton goal was her seventh of the season
-The Jets have really gain momentum already 2-1 in conference looking to stay hot.
