WICHITA, Kan. — The Newman men's soccer team lost a tough game to start conference play losing 2-0 to Oklahoma Christian. The Jets were looking to keep the momentum from their three-game winning streak coming into the day.

The Jet (3-2-0, 0-1 Heartland) were looking to make a dent in the lead going into the second half as the Eagles (3-2-0, 0-1 Heartland) were up 1-0. In the 55th minute, D'Waylan McIntosh was able to get across to the left side and bend the ball around the goalie for the 2-0 lead and game victory.

How It Happened
-After a foul by Newman in the 35th minute, Mantovani took the penalty kick for the Eagles scoring it and giving Oklahoma Christian the 1-0 lead going into halftime.
-In the second half, the Jets were looking to get back into the game but in the 55th minute, McIntosh was able to recover from his first shot and get the ball on the right side and bend it around the goalie for the 2-0 lead and later the game victory.
Notes
-The Jets were still able to outshoot the Eagles 22-9 with 11 coming on goal.
-Carlos Rubio Garcia, Ed Jabbari, and Victor Rubio Lopez all the Jets with three shots each.
