WICHITA, KAN – Newman men's soccer team fell on the road 3-0 Thursday evening against West Texas A&M. The Jets drop to 3-4-0 on the year and 0-3-0 in the Heartland.

The Jets had a couple early opportunities in the first half, but were unable to capitalize on those advantages. The Buffs were able to slip past Jets defenders creating the first goal in the 18th minute.

Newman's defense was unable to clear the ball out of the box in the 20th minute leading to another Buffs goal. The Jets would find themselves down 2-0 being out shot 12-7 in the first frame.

The Jets offensive had a hard time getting anything on target in the second half only having two shots. The Buffs would tack on another goal in the 59th minute putting the game out of reach.

The Jets will look to rebound and put a skid to a three game losing streak as they conclude their season long five game road trip Saturday afternoon against Eastern New Mexico University. Kickoff is set for 1pm from Al Whitehead Field at Greyhound Stadium in Portales, NM.
