WARRENSBURG, Mo. – Tonight's matchup against the Jennies of Central Missouri would be a tough test for the Jets that ultimately didn't go in the Jets favor. The Jets would have a hard time stringing together points in this match and struggled to slow down the Central Missouri offense.
In the first set, Newman was able to keep it close early. Trailing 4-3, the Jets were overmatched and were unable to fend off the Jennies as they went on a 21-4 run to end the set.
The second set, the Jets would look better. Trailing by as many as 6 points on two separate occasions, the Jets would string together some good possessions but UCM was to much and would win the set 25-16.
In the third and final set, the Jets were looking to get back in the match but the the same trend continued for the Jets. Newman was playing aggressive early, trailing 5-3, but the aggressive offense of Central Missouri was too much for the young Jets squad. Central Missouri went on a 13-0 run at one point in this set. That deficit would be too much for the Jets to come back from and they would ultimately lose the set 25-8, and the game 3-0.
