JOPLIN, Mo. - The Jets continued their Missouri road trip Sunday afternoon as they took on the Lions of Missouri Southern State Univeristy. Newman would be able to jump out to an early lead as
Kennedy Weaver would score the first goal of the match in the 25th minute. The Jets would score the first three goals of the game and MSSU would score the next three. Newman would be able to score a goal in the last two minutes of the match to secure the win.

How It Happened
Kennedy Weaver was able to get the scoring started for the match as she scored from the right side of the 6-yard box, assisted by
Vanessa Ortiz.
Kyla Kreemer would then get her chance as she received a ball from Weaver and was able to put the ball into the left side of the net from straight away.
Vanessa Ortiz was able to round the keeper and score an unassisted goal to extend the Jets lead to 3-0. Newman would then give up three goals in eight minutes as they allow MSSU to tie the match back up at 3-3. Eight seconds into the 89th minute,
Selina Vidhammer would score what would be the game winning goal for the Jets, assisted by Weaver.
