WICHITA, Kan. – On Friday Night, the Jets took to the pitch to take on the Lopers of Nebraska-Kearney. It was a tough and physical match from kick-off. Both teams would go back and forth taking shots at each other. Each teams defenses and goalies would absorb the blows, keeping two clean sheets for the match.
Newman (5-1-3, 1-0-1) took 21 shots with 9 on goal compared to the Lopers (1-5-3, 0-1-1) 16 shots with 9 on goal. The Jets had plenty of chances to score in this match, with one that hit the crossbar and the goalie that somehow stayed out of the goal. This is the eighth time this year that Newman has been able to hold their opponent scoreless. the clean sheets are largely contributed to the great defense by the Jets, along with excellent goalkeeping by
Jackie Lari.
