HAYS, Kan. - The Newman Men's soccer team lost a tough road matchup against a top 25 nationally ranked team in Fort Hays State. The Jets were unable to get the offense going in this matchup and for only the second time this season failed to score a goal.

st minute Fort Hays State's Sergio Villalba was able to beat Jean Consol to open the scoring for Fort Hays. This goal would be all FHSU would need as they are able to hold the Jets scoreless.

How It Happened
The Jets were out shot in this match with the Tigers taking 17 shots with 6 on goal to their 11 shots with 2 on goal. In the 22nd minute of action Sergio Villalba beat Consol in the top left corner to start the scoring for Fort Hays. After a handball by Newman in the box, Moritz Walther scored Fort Hays second goal in the 32nd minute on a penalty kick. Fort Hays continued the scoring in the 36th minute when Santiago Agudelo scored to move their lead to 3-0. The scoring would slow down in the second half until the 79th minute when Arsenio Chamorro would score the final goal of the match.
