WICHITA, Kan. – On a cold Thursday night, the Newman men's soccer team played host to the Oklahoma Baptist Bisons. The Jets would jump out to a 3-0 lead early in the second half with two goals in the first nine minutes of the half. Oklahoma Baptist would go on to score three unanswered goals in the half to take the momentum and tie the match. In the 92nd minute, Ed Jabbari was able to score the game winning goal on a pass from Bryce Bowman. With the win tonight, the Jets are one step closer to securing their spot in the GAC Conference Tournament.

How It Happened
In Overtime, with the game tied 3-3, Ed Jabbari would beat the Bison's goalkeeper Elias Diaz to lift the Jets to a 4-3 win over the Bison, keeping Newman's postseason hopes alive. The Jets would get their revenge against the Bison after a 3-3 tie earlier in the season, a game in which the Jets lead 3-0 and gave up three late goals as well.

The Jets will be back in action Saturday, November 9 as they travel to Bethany, Okla. to take on Southern Nazarene in the final regular season contest with kick-off at 5:00 P.M.
