Hays, Kan. – The Jets started day 2 of the Tiger Classic at 11:00 A.M. against Southern Arkansas, losing 3-2. Newman looked good for most of the match but ultimately losing in the 5
th set by the score of 19-17. Their final game of the tournament came against Western Colorado, at 5:30 P.M, losing 3-1. The Jets played some top competition but they are leaving Hays feeling like they are improving every match.
Southern Arkansas
This match was back and forth from the start. Newman looked good in the First set winning the set 25-21. Southern Arkansas won the Second set 25-22. Newman came back and won the third set 25-20. Southern Arkansas won the fourth set 25-19. In the fifth set, it was close but Southern Arkansas finished off the Jets winning the set and the match by a final score of 19-17.

Western Colorado
The Jets were looking for their first win of the season, but fall short against Western Colorado, losing 3-1. The Jets won a close first set 25-23. The Jets played well in the second and third set but lost both sets (25-22) and (25-21). In the fourth set is was all Western Colorado, who won the final set 25-13.
