ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – The Jets went into this afternoons matchup with the Tigers looking to bounce back from a two game losing streak. It was a close for most of the match until Carlos Manchon was able to beat the goalie in the 89th minute. Newman would get their third win on the season, moving them to 2-2 in Great American Conference play.

Key Sequence

Ouachita Baptist started the scoring off when Nery Flores found the back of the net in the 7^th minute.  Newman would tie the match in the 59^th minute when Ed Jabarri scored on a penalty kick. Both teams would then play the next 30 minutes tied until Carlos Manchon beat the Tigers defense and goalie to net the deciding goal.

How It Happened

The Jets and Tigers were in a close battle for most of the game, Newman would end up taking 8(5) shots to Ouachita Baptist's 7(3). The Jets were able to have the final say with a goal in the 89th minute securing a win for the Jets.
