Wichita, Kan. – On Sunday afternoon, the Jets took to the pitch to take on the Hillcats of Rogers State. It would take seven and a half extra minutes for a winner to be decided. Newman was able to have the final say in this contest thanks to
Kennedy Weaver scoring in the eighth minute of overtime and securing win number five on the season for the Jets.

Kennedy Weaver beat the goalie on a penalty kick in overtime after a handball by Rogers State's Alex Wynn.

How it Happened
Both teams would go back and forth all game long. Both teams challenged each others defense and goalkeepers. The Jets would take 15(7) shots compared to the Hillcats 7(3). In the overtime period, Newman started to get more aggressive and press Rogers State more. That's when they were able to force the error by the Hillcats defender.
