WICHITA, Kan. - Newman faced #2 nationally ranked Northwest Missouri State.
Newman paced the Bearcats to begin Saturday afternoon yet could not sustain the torrid pace at which Northwest was scoring at.  Newman fell 82-53 thanks to 50 second half points for the Bearcats.
Four of the Bearcats' five starters scored in double figures.  Northwest was led by Trevor Hudgins who had 21 points and was the only scorer on either side that scored more than 20 points.
The Jets were led by 
Stevie Strong and 
Israel Barnes who had 12 points a piece.  Barnes has scored in double figures in all 8 of the games he has competed in this year.
Branden Bunn scored 10 points off the bench Saturday afternoon.  Guard 
Ian Lee led the Jets with 7 assists on the night.
